Members of CUPE 5523, along with members from Archway Society for Domestic Peace and community members gathered on December 6th, to recognize the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women.
We spoke their names, we shared story and life experiences, we sang for our missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls, we claimed our place as women warriors, we spoke of ways to take action, and most of all, we held space for each other, for the victims and for the survivors.
