  1. Audit the local’s financial records and supervise all of the local’s property and assets.
  2. Ensure that the secretary-treasurer carries out their responsibilities as outlined in CUPE’s constitution.

* The Young Workers Rep will:

  • Participate in Truth and Reconciliation Education
  • Bring focus and priority to issues specific to young workers
  • Engage in activities and initiatives with the goal of inspiring young workers to become active in their union
  • Participate in the development of educational opportunities for young workers
  • Be a member of the Young Workers Committee
  • Will be a member 30 years of age or younger

  • Self-Identify as an Indigenous Person
  • Be a member of the Truth and Reconciliation Committee
  • Bring focus and priority to issues specific to Indigenous Workers
  • Participate in the development of educational opportunities for Indigenous workers
  • Engage in activities and initiatives with the goal of inspiring Indigenous workers to become active in their union
  • This position is not intended to replace the Indigenous Shop Steward and is not expected to perform the duties of a Shop Steward
